Merry Christmas

We finally made it to have pictures taken on Saturday! I was not sure what they were going to be able to do with a 2 month old as far as posing for pics, but they were amazing! Max decided to fill his diaper right before the pics and then again right after but he was a trooper. We had a fun time at the photo studio and Max was a star :o) He is truly the joy of our lives and we are so blessed to have him.

Max is getting to be so much fun with his smiles and coos! Here are some smile pics and also pics of him in his police uniform from Lark and David....who knows what he will grow up to be!

Well here we are and another week has come and gone. Time is passing quickly and Max is getting so big and changing everyday. Here are some cute pics we took recently. Aunt Brenda sent us the cute striped outfit and and it is nice and cozy!

What a Week

Well we had quite a time this last week! I finally got to come home from the hospital after my knee surgery. They sent me home with this thing they call a "wound vac" which suctions inside the open wound and helps it to heal much faster so I am hoping to be mobile again in a couple of weeks. I have to administer an IV antibiotic 3 times a day and the home healthcare people come in 3 times a week to change the wound dressing. I feel pretty good but was nervous about going home and trying to take care of Max with this thing on my leg and a pump pack I have to carry around with me with a hose attached. Nana saved us by coming home and staying a few nights and days to help us adjust. Then they said I need to rest and recover, but how am I supposed to do that when they have me running to different doctor appointments every day! Anyway, Nana went home on Friday night and Eric has been here so....so far so good. I am a little nervous about Monday being alone all day but I have friends to call on if we need some help. I am grateful to be healing and for all the love and support we have.

Max is getting so big and growing like a weed! He weighs at least 12 pounds now and is doing so many fun things. Each day we see changes in him from the way he looks to the things he does and the cute noises he makes. One of the pictures is Nana giving him a bath in his big-boy bathtub which he loves! He is eating more now and is so alert and has much more "awake" time. He loves to lay on our laps and look around at everything. He does not really have a favorite blanket yet, he loves them all! We are so blessed to have this bundle of joy in our little family and love watching him grow!

I am very excited that my Dad is flying out on December 4th and Aunt Jackie is coming out on December 6th. We are blessing Max on December 7th in our old ward in Denton. Hopefully I will be pretty much healed by then so I can enjoy showing family around the area.

Eric still loves his job at AmerisourceBergen and is getting his side business going do in-home computer repair. He has a web-site set up now and we just got his new business cards so hopefully things will take off and he will have more business than he know what to do with! I am still working a little from home and am excited about the possibility of working with some friends on a catering/party-planning company soon.

No fun for me

Here I sit in the hospital recovering from a suprise knee surgery! I fell a few weeks ago on my knee and thought it was ok but it hurt yesterday so I went to the doctor and he took one look and here I am. everything went well and I should be home on Monday but with limitations for the next few weeks. Max comes to visit me and is staying with Nana and Papa and daddy. 40 years with no falls and now this! Leave it to me.

Getting So Big!

He is growing so fast! Since we are not having "official" photos taken until this weekend, I decided to try my hand at taking some cute pics today after Max's Bath. He is getting so big already we can hardly believe it. He is a very strong little boy and he already hold his head up and he loves to look around at everything going on. He also likes to eat! He started out at 1.5 ounces when we brought him home and now he drinks anywhere from 4-7 ounces at a time! He really is the joy of our lives and we are so blessed to have him in our little family.
