At the Neal's house Jamming with the family

We recently had a wonderful visit from Max's great grandma Neal and his great uncle Tom and Aunt Ruth (Schnooks) from Maryland. Max had never met them before and we had so much fun! Uncle Tom is a pro banjo player and we got together a couple of times and had a family "jam" with he and Eric's dad. It was a fun family time.

Pumpkin Patch

It was a beautiful day at the pumpkin patch! Max enjoyed it much more this year since he could run around and play in the bounce house and pick out his own pumpkin. He picked a small one and carried it with him the entire time we were there. He loved running free around the whole place and took advantage of the wide open spaces. Maybe someday we will have a little farm :o)....someday!

Fire Station Open House

Our new fire station in Roanoke recently had a big open house for the community. They had the trucks out that the kids could go inside and look at all the equipment and they had the bomb squad robot (way cool!!!) and other fun things to do. Max got to watch the medi-flight helicopter take off and meet Smokey the Bear and eat yummy treats! He loved playing with all the hoses and equipment on the trucks and figuring out how it all works. It was a fun day for all!

Fun at the Park

Max loves to play at the park and now that weather is cooler, we like to go as often as we can. We are blessed to have such nice parks so close to home!

Why Buy Toys???

Someone remind me again why we bother to buy toys??? Max spent about 2 hours one day emptying out my large utensil drawer and playing with everything. He loved studying each thing to see what it was for and how it worked. Dont' worry.....the sharp things are kept up high so he can't get them! He is the most curious and inquisitive little guy :o)

Big boy bed

Our little baby is growing fast! Max recently turned 2 and when I went to get him out of his crib one morning and he had climbed almost all the way out himself, I decided it was time for a bed. He loves his new bed. His favorite thing is to get a book and crawl up on his bed to read. When he wakes up in the morning he opens his door and comes into our room to give us kisses and hugs. I don't know where the time has gone!
