O.K. so it is pretty obvious that Max loves his toys, but we just got him this new wooden toy at IKEA that has the blocks that slide around ont he wires. Well.....my little Mr. Inquisitive decided that he needed to figure out how this thing worked so he spent about an hour turning it and flipping it every which way to see if the blocks would ever actually come off and much to his chagrin, they did not! He is such a happy little guy and although it may seem like he has a few too many toys, he will sit there and take out each one, one at a time, and play with it. And in case you have not noticed yet, he is quite a little HAM when the camera comes out! We sure do love this little (o.k. - not so little) guy! 2 1/2 more weeks and he will be a year old....where does the time go???Thursday, September 10, 2009

Chocolate chip pancakes...YUMMY!!!!
I usually make pancakes on Saturday morning if we don't have anywhere to rush off to. Most times they are plain or I add some fresh berries, but once in a while for a treat I add chocolate chips which Eric loves. Well.....Max is definitely a Neal Boy because I gave him one piece that had just 2 choc chips in it and he went nuts! We don't give him sweets so this was quite a treat for him. Who knew one little person could make such a mess with only 2 choc chips!

My Climber
Max is almost 1 year old and has started to crawl but his favorite thing is to stand up on things! He gets such a big grin on his face because he thinks he is a big boy now. We got him toys that he can stand up to and play on and he loves them! He has completed his time for wearing his doc-Band and no more flat spot on the back of his head! He is still learning that he does not have that protection anymore and has bumped his head a few times, but he is happy to be done with it.
We are getting excited about our upcoming trip to UT, NV and CA in September and can not wait for Max to meet all his cousins, Aunts and Uncles and to see Grandma and Grandpa Killian! Some of my family has not met him yet and most others have not seen him since he was just a couple of months old. We are going to have a pirate birthday party with Ashley's little guy Lukas who was born just 4 days after Max and we are looking forward to watching him eat a piece of birthday cake all by himself :o) Life is Great here in Texas at the Neal house! We have so much to be thankful for and despite our little struggles, we are sooo blessed each and every day!

My New Project
I have taken up sewing again and I am enjoying it very much! I am making infant seat canopy's which are handy for keeping your little one out of the sun, wind, cold/heat or just keeping them from germs. No more hassle of trying to keep a blanket over the infant seat. I wish I had one of these when Max was still in his infant seat! They make great baby shower gifts. Anyway, I sell them for $25.00 each and I can do any custom fabric as long as I can get it. Here are some pics :0)
