Summer Fun

What a funtime! Jackie and Shea came to visit from California and we went to the Arbuckle Wilderness Zoo and the Natural History Museum in Oklahoma. Max LOVED the zoo because you drive thru and the animals come right up to your car so you can feed them. We almost got eaten by some camels and Eric almost lost his hand to an Ostrich that was having a bad day, but all in all it was a great time! The bottom phot is Max on the 4th of July. He was not sure about the whole glasses and hat thing!

Daddy's Boy

Max loves his daddy! He waits everyday for eric to come home and he knows when he hears the garage door open that Eric is here and his little face lights up! He had his 9 month check-up yesterday and he weighs 25.3 pounds and is 31 inches long. He is going to be a giant! Those stats put him in the 97th percentile. Everyday he does something new and he is just such a happy little guy. We are sooo blessed to have this sweet little blessing in our home and we love him like crazy!

Life is a Joy!

He loves to sit at his work table and create! Watch out Bob the Builder....Max is the new kid in town!
Drivin' in my car....turn on the radio! He loves to drive his car in the kitchen. It moves so much faster on the tile floor! Watch out world.....here I come!

Toys Toys Toys...I love my toys! Max loves to sit next to his toybox and pull each toy out, one by one and play with them. Spoiled...yes but rotten....NO! He is such a sweet little guy!

Max is growing up so fast it is something new everyday! He has 3 1/2 teeth now and it is so funny to watch him use them when he eats. He still loves pancakes and still makes a huge mess as he devours them but it is sooo cute to watch how happy it makes him!

Max and his Fancy Hat

Our little man has a fancy new hat! Because of the way Max laid inside me, his head is a little flat in the back, particularly on the right side so.....he gets to wear this fancy hat (DOC Band) for a couple of months so that his head can reshape itself. It has been harder for me to make him wear it then it has been for him. He is such a little trooper! He has to wear it 23 hours a day but we can take it off for bath time, swimming, or any special occasion. We go to the doctor every 2 weeks so they can measure and make adjustments to the band as his head changes shape. He just turned 8 months old and he is an amazing little guy. Everyday we notice something different. He has become much more mobile as he loves to sit up, roll around, get up on his hands and knees and most of all he loves to stand! His little personality is changing so much and he is getting be more and more independent. He loves to laugh and talk and he got his first tooth! We never dreamed we could love this little guy as much as we do.....he has definitely stolen our hearts!
Eric is doing great at work and loving his job. We are grateful that his company is strong and doing well! We are starting to do some work in our yard and some planting. Being a homeowner sure can be a lot of work! Life is great and we have much to be thankful for!
